ALPINE COMBINED COURSE

SKI MOUNTAINEERING - ALPINE STYLE WITH SKIS - TRAVERSES - COULIORS 

Senja Lodge & Mountainguides offers the complete alpine course in spectaculars mountains along the North Norwegian coast.



During this course you will learn about different kind of alpine mountaineering. This is a course that take you into a combination of alpine climbing in mix terrain, ski mountaineering, alpine traverses, and movement on glaciers. All this we do in the adventures mountains along the North Norwegian coast.



On this course you learn about each of this alpine categories and about how to combined them to get further into the exiting alpine environments. We will not go deep into to each categories, but learn the basics. This will be a good platform to learn more and inspire to acquire more experience after the course.

You learn about alpine traverses with or with out skies, to do rock, ice and snow climbs up ridges or couloirs, you will learn about different methods of moving and securing safely in steep snow, on rocks and ice. You learn about abseiling in different conditions. You learn about the equipment. And you learn about the different hazards that you are face up on in alpine environments, and how to minimize it. Moving in terrain with glacier and avalanche hazards. Also alpine style, manners and ethics are included in the course.

Price: 

- 3 day course. 1 to 3 participants. 5500,-NOK per person. 

- 5 day course. 1 to 3 participants. 7000,-NOK per person.

Price includes guide, some equipment (not ski) and stay at Senja Lodge. Food we buy and make at the Lodge. Alternative is to book food at the local restaurant (50 meter from the Lodge).

Good ski experience and some climbing experience is to prefer before participating in this course. 

The course is mostly held on Senja island. Alternatively in Lyngen alp, Lofoten or Kvaløya.

Season from January to April. 

Senja Lodge & Mountainguides use highly qualified guides with local knowledge about the area as instructors.
